In Memoriam: Roger Stockbridge, A Founding Member of UKPSA

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Roger Stockbridge, a respected founding member of the United Kingdom Practical Shooting Association (UKPSA).

Roger’s contribution to the UKPSA and the sport of practical shooting was significant and enduring. His membership number, 45, was an affectionate nod to his preferred calibre, rather than a marker of his place on the membership database. A testament to his long-lasting love and commitment for the sport.

Together with his wife Rita, Roger was a steadfast supporter of our association and the ethos of International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) even after they relocated to South Africa in the mid-80s. Their continued advocacy and passion for practical shooting contributed greatly to the growth and development of the sport we all love and enjoy today.

Roger’s legacy within our community is evident, and his influence on our association is deeply appreciated. His commitment to the UKPSA and the sport of practical shooting will always be remembered, and he will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
