On Friday, the association set up the stand and prepared to introduce a new audience to the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC). The anticipation was high, and we couldn’t wait to share our passion for practical shooting with the attendees.
Saturday brought a bustling crowd of eager newcomers who tried their hand at Practical Shotgun (with both a Standard and Standard Manual, Section 2 shotgun), Mini Rifle, and a touch of Action Air. It was thrilling to witness so many fresh faces getting acquainted with the sport we love. In total, 205 try shoot sessions were given, with 122 of them being Mini Rifle, 78 Shotgun, and 5 Action Air.
Sunday continued the momentum, with even more participants stepping up to the challenge and discovering the exhilaration of practical shooting. Over the course of the event, we saw 150 unique participants, with 37 of them returning to the stand for a second go. An impressive 69.3% of those who took part expressed interest in being contacted about membership and nearby events.
We’d like to extend our gratitude to the organizers of the Northern Shooting Show for hosting us, and we eagerly anticipate the next show in the coming year.
The UKPSA is proud to have played a role in introducing practical shooting to a new audience at the Northern Shooting Show. We look forward to welcoming new members to our community and continuing to grow the sport we all cherish.
